In Her Image

This body of work from photographer, Toni Pepe, is the second exhibit within the gallery space in RIT's on campus Wallace Library.

The pieces featured in In Her Image prompt viewers to scrutinize the societal perceptions of women. Spanning from the initial encounter with photography to the profound exploration of motherhood, this exhibition aims to simulate discourse regarding the intricate process of image creation and the subsequent impact of these images on society. Pepe’s artistry emanates from lived experiences, affording observers the opportunity to vicariously navigate through these narratives.

Above is a series of images showing how the exhibit is incorporated within the library. This space isn't a traditional gallery space as students are working and moving around the images everyday. Considering how students will interact with the installation was a major part of the planning process.
